From 3D scan
to UTPA / ATFM.

The inspection workflow on a welded industrial part: geometry, trajectory, robot setup, path check, then ultrasonic acquisition. Pause, scrub, jump to a chapter.

What the montage shows

ROBINSPECT is a vendor-agnostic robotic NDT platform: a 6-axis robot, advanced ultrasonics (UT, PAUT, TFM / ATFM) and a repeatable path on complex geometry. This page is the inspection sequence filmed on one part — not a generic robot cell.

  1. 0:00 – 0:30 · 3D scan. Point cloud of the part, then the mesh used for path planning.
  2. 0:30 – 1:22 · Trajectory. Tool path generated on the surface, normal to the weld.
  3. 1:23 – 5:04 · Robot setup. Cell, coupling, probe on the part — the slow, real preparation.
  4. 5:04 – 6:03 · Path quality. Check that the TCP follows the weld before acquisition.
  5. 6:03 – 7:12 · UTPA / ATFM. Synchronized ultrasonic recording along the trajectory.

Times are those of the part in the video. A full cycle on a typical industrial part is about 30 minutes, without a roboticist or NDT expert on the cell. Acquisition itself is under a minute; the 3D scan about 30 seconds; trajectory a few seconds.
